OCD Divers and Lone Star SCUBA are the only places you will find the EXCLUSIVE PADI Texas Lone Star State Diver Distinctive Specialty.
Divers will complete knowledge worksheets on the historical and diving conditions and then conduct four separate dives at four different locations, each at least 25 miles apart, within the borders of Texas or from a watercraft launched from a Texas shore.

Course Overview
The purpose of the Texas Lone Star State Diver Distinctive Specialty is to encourage divers to explore the many exciting diving opportunities within the state of Texas.
The objectives are that student divers will experience four different diving destinations within or bordering the state of Texas by researching and demonstrating knowledge of the destination and successfully executing one dive per location noting at least three features such as aquatic life, natural formations, or man-made attractions unique to each site.
Course Requirements
Research: The student diver will research (via the Internet, magazines, books, or interviews) and complete the attached worksheet for each of the four dive locations. For an updated link list of location suggestions visit: http://www.ocddivers.com/texasdiving.html
Dives: four dives conducted in locations each at least 25 miles apart, either under direct or indirect (on-site) instructor supervision. Depth and duration will be appropriate to the location but not to exceed certification limits of the student(s).
